POSTE 03: your shift starts October 28
POSTE 03 comes out free on itch.io on October 28. What the game is, and what changed in the final stretch: sound scares, end of shift, ASTER boot, three paces and nine languages.

On October 28, POSTE 03 comes out free on itch.io. It is a first-person bureaucratic horror game in PSX style that fits in a single shift: 6, 9 or 12 minutes in a sorting room, depending on the pace you pick.
This is the first devlog we dedicate to it. A few days before release, here is what POSTE 03 is, and what changed in the final stretch.
November 16, 1987, Unit 03
You are agent U.03, assigned to a sorting station of the ASTER network.
Packages come down from the ceiling. You scan them, route them to A, B or C, or send them to isolation. Labels lie. Only the scanner’s screen tells the truth, if you know how to watch it.
The facility never raises its voice. It counts your faults. After each one, it asks you to walk to the sanction machine yourself.
There are four machines to learn: the scanner, routing, isolation and the claw. The room is industrial and PSX-style, with CRT screens and nixie tubes, and everything the machines tell you is shown in the set itself.

The corridor powers up
Before the room, there is the corridor. At launch, its terminal now powers up line by line, like a real 1987 workstation: it shows the ASTER network, Unit 03 and the shift date, reminds you that the pace is set on the switch next to it, then waits.
We wanted the era to be felt before the first package even drops.

Three paces, one switch
The length of the shift is now set on that switch. Three paces to choose from: Light (6 minutes), Standard (9 minutes) and Intensive (12 minutes).
Standard is the 9-minute shift from our tagline. The other two let you play a shorter round, or stay at your station longer.
During the shift, the nixie tubes of the shift clock keep count. Expect 10 to 20 minutes per run, corridor included.

A room that breathes
The sorting room is never completely silent. A steam valve letting go, a fan stopping, a ceiling panel creaking, a handle tried behind the door.
These sound scares are rare, and never at the same time. They are not there to make you jump every thirty seconds, only to remind you that the room is alive around you while you keep up the pace.

Three faults
Three faults. The first two leave marks. The third is final.
Those marks are now heavier. After the second fault, half of your view stays damaged: swollen socket, blood that runs and dries, floaters. The mutilations are also harsher, and what the machine takes stays in the cabin.
You will not see a single image of that here, anywhere else on our site, or in the trailer. Those moments are for you to find out in the game.
⚠ Content warning: graphic mutilation, blood, death by gas, flashing lights and screen glitches.

When the clock hits zero
The end of the clock is not a way out. At 0:00 nothing vanishes: the packages still in the room must be sorted under the usual rules before the claw brings down the last one.
And then there is that last package. What you do with it is up to you.

Nine languages, keyboard or controller
Every text in the game now exists in nine languages: menus, terminal, machine screens, shift report and credits. You pick yours in the Settings, with a selector that shows each language in its own script.
French, English, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, German, Italian, Polish and Turkish.
Signs painted in the set stay in French, since the game takes place in a French administration. Everything you need to read to play goes through a translated screen. If you spot a translation mistake, please tell us on the Discord.
POSTE 03 plays with keyboard and mouse or a controller, with remappable controls and separate mouse and controller sensitivity.
October 28, on itch.io
POSTE 03 comes out on October 28, 2026 on itch.io. It is free, with an optional donation if you enjoyed your shift. It will be released on Windows, and a Linux version is planned.
Its itch.io page opens on release day. Until then, the game’s page on our site gathers the trailer, the screenshots and the full fact sheet.
On the making side, POSTE 03 is made by Quaso Studio with Unity, FMOD and Blender.
